ENLIGTENMENT is written for bass clarinet and live electronics, inspired by the words:
“Everything is shown up by being exposed to the light, and whatever is exposed to light itself becomes light.”

The work unfolds between two contrasting states. On one side stands the ever-thinking mind, caught in repetitive patterns, embodied by darkness and shadow. On the other, a state of presence emerges - luminous, still, and clear.
Throughout the piece, light gradually overtakes darkness. The live electronics amplify this transformation: the thinking mind is intensified through distortion, while the enlightened state expands into a spacious, almost weightless sonic field through delay.
The piece is realized through two scores: one for bass clarinet, and one for light and Ableton Live effects.
