LENTEBLOESEMS (Spring Blossoms) is the fourth work in the solo collection.
The first movement unfolds as an unstoppable surge of energy, capturing the force of spring awakening. Driven by a perpetuum mobile, the music constantly shifts its tonal centre, building tension as it moves forward with irrepressible momentum, until it reaches an abrupt and decisive ending.
In contrast, the second movement turns inward, focusing on a single, delicate blossom. The music traces its slow opening and closing, shaped by the proportions of the Golden Ratio (1 : 0.618). As the flower unfolds, the musical texture intensifies; its closing is reflected through a retrograde, gradually settling and coming to rest.
